Mam, It Is Your Party Which Is Blackmailing The Nation

This bewilders me to see how people in public life can stoop to such extent in protecting their ego, greed and an image which is all but tarnished. When the need of the hour is to admit the fault and promise the nation of such things not getting repeated ever again, our politicians go berserk in blaming everyone else but themselves. While the simplistic approach could easily been the acceptance of the facts and sit-down at the drawing board to bridge the loopholes, many in our political class find it fancy to fight back against the accusers with the most absurd of reasons, excuses and explanations. This is simply sick when you make the country bleed because of your indifference, nonchalance, imperiousness and idiocy and still show attitude and your audacity in blaming half of the nation for your own mistakes. You loot throughout the year and yet you show shamelessness of some magnitude when caught with your pants down and hands in the cookie jar.

The latest of the scams in coalgate is one of those kinds. As per CAG the loss to exchequer stands at a staggering 1.83 lakh crores. Now pause for a moment and try to count the number of zeros in the amount. Imagine what we as a nation could have done with this money. How many schools we could have managed to run for the rest of the life, how many hospitals we could have constructed, how many research works we could have initiated and last but not the least, how many reforms we could have introduced. But what actually happened instead? Coal which is property of the nation is distributed to friends as if none has a say in state affairs except the corrupt government that is installed. Private companies in connivance with the corrupt at center kept on looting public money for decades before it is unearthed. And when it finally got unearthed, what is happening now? A shameless government neck deep buried with its own avalanche of inadequacies and loot shows some exemplary idiocy in accusing rest of us of subverting the democracy since we are asking too many uncomfortable questions. The opposition whose job is to pick up issues those hamper the nation is again accused of being brainless, visionless, self-serving and acting against the ethos of democracy.

This is getting to some kind of trend during this pathetic Congress regime. Every time a loot is unearthed we get to hear these absurd statements flying from all directions. Nondescript arrogance takes the center stage with goons turned spokespersons of the party create havoc on the nervous system of the entire nation with their statements intoxicated with lies, dishonesty and deceitfulness and told at a pitch going straight through the roof. The dirty tricks department of the party works overtime in forming strategies to blame every living soul on this planet for the mess they created knowingly. From 2G to coalgate, what we see is only a farce in the name of explaining the nation. Like a routine alarm clock the cycle followed in all these big drudge appear so consistent.

Scam Done -> Scam unearthed -> Agency produces report -> Opposition cries fowl -> Resignation of the PM demanded -> Sycophants blow their ass off in defending -> Every one including you and me are blamed for the loot -> Nothing happens to the hawks -> We run around for answers -> Thugs get back to their work -> We wait for next scam to unearth.

This is so routine and bizarre. People whom our constitution designates to be answerable to the whole nation in fact stand answerable to none. They just loot out of nowhere and disappear in thin air since from 2G days we are yet to apprehend neither the robber nor the money that the nation is been robbed of. Even to surprise all of us we are time and again told how grossly wrong our investigative agencies are with the numbers since the loss is never beyond zero. Be it the 2G scam where Kapil Sibal distributed pamphlets on his zero loss theorem or the latest coalgate where Chidambaram promptly ridiculed the CAG report with yet another of his zero loss theorems. Every time the reasons furnished as part of the hogwash is the faulty policies that were prevalent. Every time it was an attempt at showcasing the party and its constituents as holy cows while we rest are rascals. For every loot accomplished it was the period of NDA rule that was so conveniently blamed while they projected themselves as Teflon coated and dirt free.

Most annoying of the lot is the manner our prime minister goes cranky with every loot. Even that is routine in our case. Invariably always after a lot of pressure from the opposition our otherwise silent prime minister agrees to make some kind of statement in the house. The explanations, as routine as they can be are always full with deception, lies and ferocious attempt at fooling the nation. Coupled with absolutely those irritating Shayeris our prime minister stands upright and delivers lies on full public view to the nation. He not only hands over lies but also tries to cover up his own ineptitude by pointing fingers at BJP and other opposition parties. While not a single sentence is uttered against his party’s loot, an entire chapter is recited on how BJP is becoming a shame to our democracy and nation by just questioning the details of such blatant loot. While no idea is shared on how to apprehend the thieves he gets full time engaged in proving himself innocent. This so annoying listening to Dr. Singh since we realize being the largest democracy in the world we are governed by absolute garbage and scumbags. No repentance, guilty feeling but all arrogance for accomplishing yet another loot mission while we common populace become danger to our national fabric, ethos and our bloody democracy at once. Disparaging to believe that we the honest people are time and again accused of blackmailing the ruling party but the idiots, who should deserve no leniency, remain untouched and holy cows. If this attitude is not deplorable then I am not sure what else could be. Mr. Prime minister, we haven't asked you to prove your innocence. We are least bothered if you are one or not. What about the highway robbers that fill your cabinet? Any answers?

So someone please educate Dr. Singh along with Sonia Gandhi on who actually is blackmailing the nation. Had enough nonsense in the name of democracy and have tolerated a lot of tantrums on that very name as well. Just because you are in power and have enough rabid mongrels to bark at everyone on instruction, you can’t possibly blame everyone for the thuggery accomplished by your own party men. Educate both that it is not always a fancy idea to shrug off the responsibilities of your own crime by throwing caution to the wind and blaming anyone and everyone that comes your way.

And please someone ask both to explain the nation on what they understand by democracy and how they feel it goes for a toss every time one questions their party’s gruesome behavior towards the nation. And tell them that bloody thugs are not there to be blackmailed but to be thrashed and thrashed very badly. Enough said!!
